If you ever find happiness by hunting for it, you will find it as the old woman did her lost spectacles. Safe on her own nose all the time. ~ Josh Billings

No one ever said life was easy.

You know how just when you think you've got your life all figured out, something happens to cause mass confusion? Well, that's exactly what happened to Derek and I. For those of you who had not heard, Derek received an absolutely wonderful job opportunity. A wonderful church of about 350 members offered Derek a job as a youth pastor/associate pastor. It would be the absolutely perfect job for him and I would also love for him to take it. Unfortunately, it's in Van Wert at our church. The only reason this is absolutely terrible is because I have to move to Peoria. So, after much consideration, we both decided he has to turn this job down :( This means I will be guilt ridden for the next year, or maybe for the rest of my life. It's also really hard because he has absolutely 0 job prospects in Peoria, so we're taking a huge risk! But if I don't go to my internship I have a worthless degree and will not be able to get a job in my field because I will not be able to become an R.D. So there's no easy solution. If these decisions are all part of being an adult, I'd much rather go back to elementary school. Choosing who to sit by in the cafeteria is much less traumatic than this! Are we doing the right thing? Are we crazy? I guess we'll have to wait and see...
