Change
Wow, we've been in Peoria for 3 days and it seems like everything has changed. I absolutely love Peoria, as does Derek, but we'll probably still only live here a year. We'd like to live closer to our family...not necessarily in VW, but closer than 6 hours away. But Peoria is great. It's the perfect size, not too big, but a lot bigger than VW. About 11 times the size actually. This morning Derek and I got up and went down to the riverfront market. It was neat, they have vendors selling fresh produce, art work, etc. and musicians playing music. We didn't buy anything, but we looked around and walked down the riverfront to see what else there was. It's beautiful along the river.
It's a little boring right now because we don't know anyone and we're trying to conserve money since Derek still doesn't have a job. However, he does have two job interviews on Monday. One is a third interview at an insurance company here. He's sick of them stringing him along, but if he got a job there it would pay well. But who knows how many more interviews they would make him come to. Then in the afternoon he has an interview to be a bank teller, which he thinks he would enjoy more, but it pays about 1/2 what he got at Central in VW. That would make money really tight, but we could probably survive for a year. We'll see what happens.
I just wanted to add that I really like these blogs. It's fun to know what people are doing. Even if it's just boring day to day activities. It feels like I talk to you all often, even though that's difficult. I miss you all. We have to get together sometime. Unfortunately, I doubt I'll be able to go to Abby's party, although I really wish I could. We'll see once the date is set. Well, that's all for now. Gotta' go and make dinner-isn't life in the real world great?? LOL

Blogs are cool, especially when people like you with exciting lives write stuff.

You really shouldn't comment on your own blog. It confuses me. For a few minutes I thought I wrote that, but then I realized that I havne't been on in a while and of course, my blog is NEVER boring, so it couldn't be me. Whew!! Mystery solved - Abby is just talking to herself!!
