Last night Me, Derek, Katrina, and Jeff (Two of the interns with me) all went to watch the Peoria Chiefs baseball game. Then we walked down to a martini bar our program director had recommended. She had told us that there would be a band playing and her and her husband would be there, so we decided to check it out. They have an indoor part and an our door area as well and we saw her right inside the gate outside so she paid to get us in and it was actually really fun. It's a real nice, classy bar. Everyone was dressed up (except us, in our jeans and t-shirts) The band was really good and it was a lot of fun...not to mention, really good martinis. It was also great because this weeked is the riverfront carnival, so there were rides and games, and other carnival stuff all around, so we also walked around down there by the riverfront. I am so happy to finally be somewhere with things to do. It sure beats Bluffton, that's for sure!
