Exhaustion...
Well, today was a real test of whether I'll be able to survive working at the hospital and at Kohl's. And the jury's still out... I worked 8-4:30 at the hospital, then 5-10 at Kohl's. Mentally I was fine. It was so busy at Kohl's, it flew by. However, my feet did not fare so well...I could barely walk out to my car after we closed, and that honestly is not an exaggeration. And unfortunately I volunteer to work at a Health Fare tomorrow morning at 8:00 am... What was I thinking?!? I'm sure it will be fun. It's in the ghetto (right next to the hospital) and they're giving away 1500 bookbags full of school supplies and they're having a bunch of free health screening and other information. It will be fun to talk to the people, but I know if I didn't have that I would probably sleep until noon, which sounds really appealing! Oh well, it's for a good cause, I'll just have to remind myself of that when I try to wake up in the morning.
Besides that I haven't done much. I've worked at Kohl's a lot lately, but it was because I was still training. Now I don't work until Wednesday and then Saturday, so that's not too bad. But I have to go to a Gastric Bypass support group meeting and a weight loss class two nights this week, so I'll be busy with that stuff...
Next week I'll be on the pediatric ICU floor. That is going to be really hard. I've heard the dietitian cries a lot when the babies die. I hope that doesn't happen to me, I don't know if I can handle that. Well, I just took a 2 minute break to think of what to talk about next, and I couldn't come up with anything, so I'm going to go to bed...If my feet will walk that far, maybe I'll sleep on the couch...

I think the pediactric ICU would be so hard...I hope it goes okay for you! I'm worried about how my feet are going to hold up come the first week of school and swim team practice - guess I need to find some comfy shoes!!

I went to the Neo-natal ICU to visit my new nephew. Yup - it's tough.
