Chicago

Well, I just got back from a trip to Chicago with my internship. We spent the night Monday and Tuesday was spent at a nutrition conference at Children's Memorial Hospital. We spent the whole day listening to interesting topics about Celiac Disease, the history of infant formulas, Type II Diabetes in children, and Short Bowel Syndrome. It was really interesting, but most importantly it was a day out of the office. Then we spent a few hours on Michigan Avenue shopping. I wasn't in the mood to shop, nor did I have money to shop at those expensive stores (or any for that matter) so I called Ruth and met up with her. Yes, I met the ellusive Ruth in Chicago! It was a lot of fun to see her. I really only got to spend about an hour and a half with her but we ate and talked and caught up. I wish you all could have been there!
