Patience with Patients...

Well, we got to start seeing patients today which is always fun. I had forgotten how interesting they can sometimes be. Healthcare wouldn't be fun without a few crazies! I'm having a great time though...It's the first time I've had a job that I didn't absolutely dread going to every day. It's also the lowest paying job as well, so my level of satisfaction is amazing! With my lab coat, palm pilot, and pager I feel important, even if I am just a lousy intern!

Besides working I've been hanging out a lot with Katrina, Brooke, and Jeff. Last night, Derek, Jeff and I all went to another baseball game. This time it was the all star game and they also had a home-run derby. Derek caught a home-run ball, but I made him give it to a little boy who had been trying to catch it as well-the boys dad then came over and offered to buy him a beer. Unfortunately, that wasn't satisfaction enough for Derek-he hasn't let me hear the end of it ever since. I had no idea a silly baseball would have meant so much to a 22 year old man...
