If you ever find happiness by hunting for it, you will find it as the old woman did her lost spectacles. Safe on her own nose all the time. ~ Josh Billings

St. Louis and Cosmetology School

Thursday night all of the interns came over as you saw from the picture. It was a lot of fun. We were going to watch a movie, but Jeff forgot it. So instead we watched the final game of the NBA Finals. (I think that may actually have been a conspiracy between Jeff and Derek) Anyways, it was a lot of fun. Jeff got pretty drunk which was humorous. After many, many drinks he insisted that Katrina cut his hair, even though she had never cut anyone's hair before. It ended up not looking too bad, but for a while I thought he might end up looking like a fool. We then had to steal his keys and drive him home because he insisted he could drive, but he was in pretty bad shape.

Then, Derek and I spent the weekend in St. Louis to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. (I can't believe how fast the year flew by) First we went to Six Flags. We started riding rides, but after 2 (one of which was so mild, it was ok for little children to ride), I felt terribly sick. Apparently I am getting too old for roller coasters!

So, then we went to the water park, which was much better. My favorite was the lazy river! So, we stayed at the water park for most of the day. Then after we stayed in line for 1 1/2-2 hours to ride their newest water ride and were almost there, it started pouring down rain and storming, and they had to close the water park. So we left, found a hotel, went to a wonderful BBQ restaurant, then went to watch Batman Begins.

Then today, we got up, went to Denny's for breakfast then headed to the Arch. It was really fun. I had been there before, but Derek hadn't, so it was fun to go with him. Overall, it was a wonderful weekend-although I got quite a sunburn. Back to work tomorrow :( Hope you all had a wonderful weekend too!
