No more excuses...

Today Derek and I bought a treadmill. We've been saving our money for a while and finally had enough. We were originally going to get a gym membership, but they were about $450/year for a crappy gym. For just a little more, Derek and I bought a treadmill that will last for years (at least it better!!!) So now, I can't make anymore excuses for being fat and lazy, and believe me I am definately getting fat and lazy. But if working out isn't very convenient, I will never do it. Even if it is convenient, it's hard to get motivation. I did run tonight and I feel great! I always forget how good working out can actually make you feel (once you're done that is, when I was working out, I felt horrible) Maybe that's because I haven't run in months.

Isn't it also true that exercise releases endorphins that make you happy? I sure hope so because lately I have been soo moody. Poor Derek. He must think I'm a crazy woman. I'm not proud of the fact that my mood can change at the drop of a hat, but it's the sad truth. Does anyone else have this problem? Any advice?

I wish we had a treadmill or something in our house. I think I have worked out maybe a total of five or six times since I have been here. You are right, it is hard to work out unless it is convenient. Maybe I would work out more if there was somewhere I could do my Pilates video without everyone watching me while I do it!

Are you serious? I've thought about getting mine changed before. Maybe that's part of the problem...?

I'm still birth control free and I get moody too. I definitly have noticed a difference though when I exercise and when I don't. Exercising is definitly helpful - i don't know very much about endorphons, but at least I don't feel fat and ugly, so that is a great start!!
